Regina Ahlgren, LMT, is a licensed Massage Therapist in the state of Hawai'i. She has been working as a therapist for over 13 years in both Alaska and Hawai’i and currently lives on the island of O'ahu. Regina is licensed as a NCBTMB board certified member. NCBTMB is the highest voluntary credential attainable in the massage therapy and bodywork profession.

Regina is a native New Yorker. She was raised in a household where alternative medicine and education was highly valued. Her father was a Chiropractor and mother a teacher. Her father would teach her massage as a young girl to work her feet and pulled muscles as she was a blooming dancer. At age five, she started classes in dance. With years and endless hours of commitment to dance training, an in-depth knowledge of balance, flexibility, center support, isolation and strength was acquired.

At eighteen she started her professional dancing career that allowed her to travel all over world. She danced in touring companies in both the United States and Europe, choreographed/directed numerous shows in Asia and performed in musicals on the Broadway stage. Eventually, she left the Broadway community to find other passions which lead her to pursue a career in wellness and the healing arts.

Regina started her massage education in 2006 at the Maui School of Therapeutic Massage under the direction of James Hackett. After graduation Regina continued her education of Hawaiian therapies: Lomi Lomi and Ili Ili (hot stone) at Hale Ho’omana. Regina returned home with a desire to dig deeper into her education of anatomy, kinesiology and Shiatsu at the Connecticut School of Massage. With a new affinity to eastern modalities, Regina traveled to Thailand and Indonesia to take additional courses in Thai and Balinese Massage adding to her growing range of techniques.

She started her massage business in Sitka, Alaska by converting a bus into an office~ Mobile Body Mechanics. 2011 she moved to Oah'u and opened an office within Hawaii Kai Chiropractic. She was grateful to have an amazing ten years in this location. The pandemic sparked change for many of us and one of Regina's changes was place of work. Recently, she started working at the Professional Building in Aina Haina. Her space is so quiet and calming and thrilled to have found this space.

She continues to be inspired by women running businesses in the health and well-being industry, as well as actively continuing education within her passion of bodywork. She now incorporates, red-light therapy, cupping, Hypervolt, Gua sha, hot stones, aroma therapy oils (Do Terra) into all massages depending on individual needs.
